Pebbles

It's funny the way the pebble dives when tossed across the sand.
It skips and skips and skips or falls; though skill may not be hand.
The pebble who has been pumped with poise may prance for years to come.
Though the one who's master has the skill might land and soon be done.
It's witty too, the circumstance, in which this might occur.
An ocean full of skill may let the poise skip on further.
The round, the flat, the thick, the thin; the stone remains unplanned.
It's truly up to those who cast to determine where it lands.
