Starbucks

So [basically] every morning my family goes to Starbucks to get breakfast before school.
So, the employees know us and I generally recognize other "regulars." For example, every Friday there is a men Bible study group that pushes two of the tables together and talk about the purpose of life and stuff.
It's kinda cool hearing them, because they are so into it. There's always this one guy with a beanie, who participates quite a lot.
But then yesterday something really threw me off. There was a new member. This guy with a mullet had pulled up another chair and was talking just as much as the others.
I don't know why, but I felt as if my routine had been thrown off.
I'm really interested in said Bible group. Not to be creepy, but it makes me happy every time I see there and I get the confirmation that it is indeed Friday.
I also love hearing out-of-context tidbits of conversations as people passby talking.
It's really amusing to string them together into one talk.
For example, this would have been today's:
"And I was like, 'No, she LIKES you, but like she doesn't know if you like her.' and he was all.."
"Well except for the car crash yesterday. The guy walked out and then told me he accidently hit the gas instead of the brakes." -insert dramatic superior gesture-

That one kind of failed but I guess my point is I love Starbucks and the people there.
The employees are cool too: Courtney does musical theatre and gives us free food, Johnny is really funny, the brunette girl never gets orders wrong...etc.

Hooray Bucks du Star!

MATH

WHY WAS SIX AFRAID OF SEVEN? BECAUSE SEVEN EIGHT NINE!

I would be able to appreciate that joke if I wasn't so overstuffed with math right now.
I have TWO math tests tomorrow.
7 hours of studying.
6 practice tests.
5 glasses of cranberry juice.
4 minutes till I fall asleep.
3 times I got distracted by my cats.
2 tests back to back tomorrow.
1 break to be confused by five minutes of Glee.

Oh Mr. Jackson. If only I was good enough at math to be nicknamed "Fraction Jackson".
I love my math class, I really do. Just not when it's two tests in one day.
(To be fair, I chose this...but still haha)

1234

It's been waay too long...
1. I'm sorry I haven't blogged in 345678 years. I was backpacking, then school crazy, then CANDA, then school crazy again. I promise I haven't forgotten about my blog. I shall begin to update at LEAST thrice a week from now on.
2. Roundsquare was amazing. Like I can't even explain. Basically if you ever have the opportunity to do something like that do it. Soo great.
3. I got another rat! :) Lily now has a cagemate named Luna and they are adorable :)
4. We're doing a poetry unit in English, and here's the very first poem I wrote. It kinda fails, but I felt like posting it haha. By the way, the assignment was "4-8 lines with the title 'How to Write a Poem.'"
How to Write a Poem
Cover your eyes, and hear the music
Smell the ink, spell out the mean
Open your mind to something exotic
Grasp the hand and take a leap

Sharpen the images, accept details
Notice new people, perspectives, or things
Don't focus on your past betrayls
Use your five or six and sense the world waiting

This is a random edgy picture I took of my To Kill a Mockingbird book...haha I'm kinda obsessed with it right now.
